What a wonderful sunny day!

I’m so happy you can actually feel the spring coming, warmer days, lighter nights, smell of flowers blossoming in the air…ahhh.

Everything starts to get greener, Finally! Green is always been my favourite colour ever. Every shade of it. I didn’t like most of the green vegetables tough, until I learned how to cook them and start to appreciate them.

Kale chips, for whom never tried them or even for who tried just the store bought, is not the most appealing recipe title. Well, I was surprised too when I give it a try, make my own and couldn’t get enough!! 

I tried different types from the store and honestly I really didn’t like any of those.

But I wanted to give it a shot and make them by myself. The result is actually great and super tasty!


80gr de-steamed kale leaves

1tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

garlic powder

Break the leaves in more or less the same size and with your hands rub the oil into the kale. Once the leaves are all oily, put them on a oven tray with tin foil, making sure they’re separated from each other. Sparkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on top and bake them gas mark 3 (170 C) for 10 minutes then turn them and cook for 5 more minutes.

This is my favorite combination, but you can try different spices, like paprika or simply just with salt. And of course you can try dip them in some vegenaise! yummy! :) 

Quick nutrition fact: kale it’s low in calorie and has zero fat. It contains vitamins K, A and C and it’s full of our dear friends the antioxidants. It’s also a wonderful detox food, supporting digestion with its great fiber content.
