I am CRAZY EXCITED!
I’m still jumping around and screaming like a little girl!
The reason (if you don’t follow me on Instagram, which you should for some fun recipes and peek on my life) is that after 7 months I’m finally visiting my best friend!!! :)
I met Ilaria on my second year at university in Venice, we’ve been roommates for 3 years and lived basically like sisters. As for all good things though, our time in Venice came to an end and it was time to move on.
Since then we tried to see each other as much as possible which is not much, definitely never enough. Sadly we all have our busy lives and flight tickets sometimes are freaking expensive (she lives in Italy, but quite far from where I’m from, so I don’t get to see her when I visit my parents).
This is a mega special occasion also because tomorrow is her birthday! And for how crazy it can sound, in 7 years that we know each other, for a reason or another, we never spent our birthdays together. Finally we did it!
She’s such a beautiful soul and she knows and she understand me like no one (Simon does too of course but girl stuff, you know?). I’m so happy to have the chance to spend almost an entire week with her! Now you can understand my excitement and my jumping around! :)
Coming to the recipe of the day boyz and girlz, we have CHILLED PEA SOUP! Say whaaaat? A soup that is not hot? Healthy and perfect for summer days? SHUT UP!

(makes 2 portions – takes 10 minutes – vegan)
- 500gr frozen peas
- 8-10 mint leaves
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1 lime
- 180ml water
Place the frozen peas, with mint, a roughly chopped clove of garlic, the juice of 1 lime and water in a high-speed blender. Blend all together for a couple of minutes, add salt to taste and blend one more minute.
Your chilled pea soup is ready!
