VIDEO RECIPE: TROPICAL GREEN SMOOTHIE

VIDEO RECIPE: TROPICAL GREEN SMOOTHIE

As the happiest and tanned me, I'm preparing this post sipping a Piñada (non alcoholic version of Piña Colada) sitting on a swing on my favourite bar, just 30 seconds from our doorstep. We came here everyday since we arrived one week ago and everybody knows us at this point, so there's a lot of hugging and kissing now :)

Salsa music is playing in the background and a drop of sweat is running through my back and once again I'm feeling blessed and grateful for what I'm living, to have the chance to experience it with my best friend and my lover (which are the same person btw :))

I finally took some courage and I made my first video recipe...

BAGELS

BAGELS

Happy Friday!

The weekend is here and the sun is shining. What are your plans?

Simon and me are gonna go to Ramsgate tomorrow, enjoying a couple of days on the beach and, most importantly, we’re celebrating three birthdays. Simon’s sister Vicki, her partner Tad and sweet Lilly, their daughter. Birthdays make me so excited! I love them! It’s your day, no matter your age, it’s a beautiful occasion to celebrate!

We’re gonna have a BBQ at their house and it’s a couple of days that I’m thinking what I can cook to bring there. Thinking what I recently made that came out as a success, bagels came to mind. I mean, who doesn’t love them, am I right?

They’re deliciously soft and perfect by themselves but...

PECAN MILK

Good afternoon cutie pies! :)

How’s everything for ya?

I’m unwell in bed unfortunately but I’m taking advantage to work a bit on my laptop today (I’m also watching videos and cuddling cats).

Drinking lots of water and eating soup, I was looking through my book of recipes and I almost forgot about this one...

MANGO JAM

MANGO JAM

I’m dreaming about being back in Bali and eating fresh mango in all his forms, juice, cubes, jams... I love mango so much: it’s really, reallygood for you, it helps your digestion, improves your immune system, it alkalize the whole body and, moreover, it helps clear the skin. Sorry, it taste like heaven, if in heaven is always summer and you’re laying on the beach, listening to the sounds of the ocean.

I never made mango jam so why not try it, and it’s so quick and easy to make that basically you have no excuses to not try it as well!!

SPINACH CORNAMAZING FRITTERS

SPINACH CORNAMAZING FRITTERS

I’m gonna reveal this one thing today: in Italy, for breakfast, we eat sweet things, biscuits and milk, brioches, toast and jam and why not, cakes!

I wasn’t physically ready to a savoury breakfast. My body and my mind didn’t understand at first what having eggs and sausages, or tomatoes and beans and salad, in the morning, just after you wake up, could mean. I mean such strong flavours when I still don’t know in which world I am.

Eventually I got used to it. Of course!

And now I don’t understand how I could live without a good, big, savoury breakfast before.

This is one of my creations in collaboration with Simon :)

Sweet and savoury corn fritters!

BUCKWHEAT WAFFLES

BUCKWHEAT WAFFLES

Good morning to everyone and happy Sunday!

What happened to summer in London? Sunny days? Warm breeze? I mean, really Pfffft.

Complaining about it with my English colleagues just makes me more frustrated as they get back at me with: what’s the problem? It’s normal! You’re in London Mara!

Well, yes, I know, thank you! But still, I will never make peace with this.

So, as you might have noticed already, in these days more then ever, food comes to help. As I truly believe, if you start the day with some delicious breakfast, it’s gonna be just good!

OATS MILK

Springtime comes with a lot of colours, beautiful, vibrant and pastel colours everywhere. So why not also in food?

And that’s how I ended up making turmeric, spirulina and maca milk from oats.

They came out creamy, delicious, different from the usual and colourful!

If you feel adventurous and you want to try them, here’s the recipe my friend:
